About Me
NewPathway Counseling Services was born from one woman’s deeply personal journey—one shaped by heartbreak, healing, and hope. As a devoted mother of two, her world was turned upside down by unexpected betrayal. Everything she once knew was shattered, and she was called to chart a completely new course—one that allowed her to be fully present for her children while building a life grounded in purpose and stability.
Amid the chaos of personal loss, a global pandemic, and life-altering transitions, she made a bold decision: to pursue a Master’s degree in counseling. During this time, she navigated a difficult divorce, grieved the loss of her best friend to cancer, moved twice, and endured a lengthy and emotionally charged custody battle. Through it all, she remained committed to showing up for her children, for herself, and eventually, for others who found themselves in similar storms. Some days were easier than others, but every day added to her resolve to turn pain into purpose.
She persevered through the emotional weight of a high-conflict co-parenting situation, graduate school, and sleepless nights filled with doubt and quiet tears. She never gave up. In those hardest moments, she discovered a deep well of resilience, courage, and unwavering faith she didn’t know she had.
Three years later, she earned her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling—a milestone that marked not just academic achievement, but profound personal transformation.
Today, as a licensed, faith-based counselor, she uses her story as more than a credential—it’s a bridge. A bridge to reach those who are hurting, who feel unseen, and who simply need someone to say, “I understand.”
