My Story
Your journey matters and who walks beside you can make all the difference.
Born from Personal Journey
New Pathway Counseling Services was born from one woman's deeply personal journey—one shaped by heartbreak, healing, and hope. As a devoted mother of two, her world was turned upside down by unexpected betrayal. Everything she once knew was shattered, and she was called to chart a completely new course—one that allowed her to be fully present for her children while building a life grounded in purpose and stability.
Amid the chaos of personal loss, a global pandemic, and life-altering transitions, she made a bold decision: to pursue a Master's degree in counseling. During this time, she navigated a difficult divorce, grieved the loss of her best friend to cancer, moved twice, and endured a lengthy and emotionally charged custody battle. Through it all, she remained committed to showing up for her children, for herself, and eventually, for others who found themselves in similar storms. Some days were easier than others, but every day added to her resolve to turn pain into purpose.
She persevered through the emotional weight of a high-conflict co-parenting situation, graduate school, and sleepless nights filled with doubt and quiet tears. She never gave up. In those hardest moments, she discovered a deep well of resilience, courage, and unwavering faith she didn't know she had.

From Pain to Purpose
Three years later, she earned her Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling—a milestone that marked not just academic achievement, but profound personal transformation.
Today, as a licensed, faith-based counselor, she uses her story as more than a credential—it's a bridge. A bridge to reach those who are hurting, who feel unseen, and who simply need someone to say, "I understand."
At New Pathway Counseling Services, you'll find more than therapy: You'll find a safe space to begin again.

I follow my client's lead and explore their beliefs related to their faith. Faith integration is always optional and client-led.
What Faith-Integrated Counseling Looks Like
- Exploring how faith informs meaning, hope, forgiveness, and resilience
- Incorporating scripture that aligns with your beliefs and values
- Prayer, only at your request
- Addressing spiritual struggles such as guilt, doubt, anger, or grief
- Aligning therapeutic goals with your personal values and faith framework
Why Faith Integration Matters
For many people, faith is not an "add-on"—it shapes:
- How they understand suffering and healing
- Their moral compass and decision-making
- Their sense of hope, forgiveness, guilt, and purpose
- Their community, rituals, and support system
Clinical Counseling, Not Pastoral Counseling
Ethical Christian counseling is not pastoral counseling and does not involve preaching, moralizing, or telling clients what they "should" believe. My role remains clinical—not spiritual authority. Faith is explored as a source of strength, a source of struggle, or sometimes both. You set the pace and depth of any spiritual discussion.
Had a Difficult Experience with Christian Counseling Before?
Faith-integrated therapy can be inclusive and client-centered when practiced ethically. I do not assume uniform beliefs, lifestyles, or experiences.
You remain free to:
- Question your faith
- Express doubt, anger, or spiritual wounds
- Explore identity and values without judgment
This is a space where faith struggles—not just faith strengths—can be discussed openly.
I work with clients of all backgrounds. Faith-based integration is optional and always client-led. Whether you share my faith or not, you are welcome here.
